SPIRAL TO HEALTH
"Addiction Solutions for Families and Individuals"
Spiral to Health in partnership with
Burdick Psychological & Placement
Services
offers a unique
HEALTH BASED INTEGRAL MODEL OF RECOVERY, REENTRY AND
REENGAGEMENT.
The model supports the family and/or individual in
conjunction with the treatment program, in building the
skills and competencies necessary for continuing growth
through the stages of recovery and the development of a
healthy and meaningful lifestyle.
Integral Family Coaching (IFC) supports the development
of healthy family members and a healthy family system
able to support and sustain progress made during a
young person's placement in a treatment program. The
integral model focuses on developing the support,
capacity, and resiliency necessary to help weather the
storms that substance abuse and behavioral issues bring
with them.
Beyond treatment for the individual with the addiction,
IFC helps families develop the skills necessary to
support a caring and supportive atmosphere in which
each family member feels a sense of belonging and
interconnectedness. IFC also continues where most
treatment/coaching programs end. The work continues
with a search for how the uniqueness of the young
person and their personal quest for meaning results in
the discovery of a sense of purpose and direction in
their lives that precludes the need for relying on
substances.
Spiral to Health Coaching supports the family through
regular phone coaching sessions, participation in
therapist/family calls, and by providing support during
transition between programs, and/or aftercare services
as the family reunites. This model provides continuity,
consistency, and the coordination necessary to aid in
the development of both a successful plan and
successful outcomes.
The use of
INTEGRAL FAMILY COACHING
aids in the development of an integrated family system
and the support, capacity, and resiliency necessary to
weather the storms that substance abuse, learning, and
behavioral issues bring with them. This model also:
- Values each member of the family as a unique part of the system with different strengths, values, personalities and social strategies
- Views the family through multiple lenses to help in the development of a clear understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, hopes and fears.
- Builds sustainable behaviors and resources that families can build on.
- Opens new paths of understanding and communication.
- Builds networks of support for the whole family.
